We are extremely stoked to announce that we have entered into a partnership with Hack4Impact to help us develop some of the exciting features that we plan to introduce in ZubHub this year for all our learners and educators! For the next few months, we will be working with the awesome program managers and the development team at Hack4Impact's UIUC chapter in helping you bring these features.
About Hack4Impact UIUC
Hack4Impact UIUC is the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign chapter of Hack4Impact. This student-led organization connects student software developers with nonprofits and other socially responsible businesses to develop powerful new tools for social change. This enables nonprofits to further their mission and better engage their clients. Hack4Impact UIUC is committed to increasing awareness of technology's potential for good. Each semester Hack4Impact partners with select organizations in helping them develop software tools that have a clear social impact
About the Partnership
This semester, the awesome engineers at Hack4impact will help in bringing some exciting features to ZubHub.This partnership aims to improve the platform's overall user experience; some new features include saving projects in draft mode, sharing projects on various social media platforms, reorganizing categories and tags, and better managing the platform via an admin panel. The Hack4Impact team will help us in improving the notification system so that whenever someone claps on your project or leaves a comment, you get an encouraging ping on your phone or a notification in your profile :) Another exciting feature to watch out for is the recommendation feature - as you start browsing a particular project - for example, a wind turbine made with cardboard, you will get recommended for similar projects showcased by other creators to help you explore exciting ideas from around the world.
